First and last experience at Garys Steve the mechanic that worked on my sons car is great, excellent communication. No need to go into full details, my son spent a fair bit of money there, needless to say Dan, real crappy customer service, very short with me on the phone and even ruder in person when I was just inquiring about the status of my sons car. Wouldn't even look at me while talking, or when I tried to show him a video of the problem when earlier on the phone he couldn't find the issue(fuel problem). 30yrs going to shops and never experienced the lack of respect i received from Dan. Have a great day Dan.
Had a family of mice move into my heating system. Built a nest in the blower fan with insulation from the engine. I had hoped to be able to fix the problem with youtube assistance to no avail. Gary's was able to assess and clean out the bedding and latrine so I no longer have to drive with all the windows open in winter. Heat works better than ever! Thanks for giving me back a car I love to drive (windows closed?)!
Great lads at Gary’s Service! I love that these old coots are so smart and up to date with all of the latest technology. They may seem miserable at times but that’s because they are concentrating so hard at taking care of your vehicle. I’ve seen one of them laugh once too. I can’t remember which one. It was great! Thanks
Great experience here from start to finish after another local shop failed to live up to expectations. Gary's service was fast and knowledgeable. I was sent a full report with photos and video of each problem and the price was more affordable then I was expecting! Happy to give 5 stars for such great local service shop you can trust ?
I went to Gary’s Service for the first time today for an oil change. I was served by Gary himself at the front counter. He was polite and professional. I noted that the shop was busy - lots of customers, phone calls, etc. - which is a good thing. I would recommend booking an appointment as I did. The oil change was completed without issue. I received a text message while waiting in the lobby which contained a link for a full report on the work done, things noted, etc. It was helpful, and let me know that they looked at a bunch of things while my vehicle was in for service. They found a burnt out LED running light, and the report contained a picture of my vehicle with the specific light circled - which I felt would be helpful for someone if they weren’t terribly familiar with vehicles. The facility itself was very clean and tidy, unlike most shops. The customer lobby was very clean, tidy, and well spaced out with chairs and a TV, and the garage itself appeared clean and tidy as well. The washroom was super clean and smelled great, which was refreshing. Even the exterior grounds were beautiful - they have a beautiful raised gazebo and immaculate flower bed that I saw a customer sitting about and reading a book. Even the interlock at the entrance was immaculate. I mention this because I think it’s a perfect correlation to Gary’s business, professionalism, and attention to detail. Thank you Gary for a great experience - I will for sure be back.
Called in to get a safety certificate done on short notice and was accommodated for. Was relieved at first, but when I got there it was a different story. I was in a time crunch to get to a ServiceOntario for 3:30PM. I arrived at 1:40. The front desk guy told me it would take an hour, so I thought that would be fine. I let him know of my situation and that I was in a rush - to which he replied "not happening, you're not getting there for 3:30". Absolutely no desire or initiative to help me out. Instead he tells me because of the snow and sludge (I drove 5 hours from Ottawa prior) it would take even longer as they had to clean it up. That's fair. But the job wasn't finished until 3:40. That's two hours for a safety job, and there's no way some snow and sludge would slow down the job by an ENTIRE HOUR. The entire time I was waiting, I checked in numerous times with the front desk guy, asking for progress updates, an estimate of time until it would be finished - absolutely nothing from this guy. I was just given short non-answers like "they're still working on it" without even going into the garage and asking the crew. Why work in customer service if that's the effort you put forth? Even when the work was finally done he took his sweet time filling out the paperwork for the report, too. I can't speak for the actual quality of work done at this shop but the customer service was abysmal and the crew there must all work at a snail's pace. These guys have no concept of urgency. If you value your time and your money, go literally anywhere else than here. Just absolutely ridiculous.
Had my vehicle in 2 different shops that failed miserably before Gary fixed the problem with my vehicle in a snap. Thank you so much for rescuing me and my vehicle! I can never thank you enough! Take care ♡
