Classic Cakes-Rhonda(the owner) is amazing! It is the place to go when you are looking for custom Cakes. We had a birthday dinner party for my sister in laws 50th Birthday. I needed a beautiful and specific cake to represent who she is. I emailed Classic Cakes. I let her know what I was looking for and that it had to be specific to the picture that was attached to the email. She put my mind at ease from beginning to end. The communication, and customer service was very prompt, friendly, and I really felt heard as to what I needed. The birthday girl wanted Vanilla macarons with strawberry filling. Although Rhonda did not have strawberry filling available. She went above and beyond to make the strawberry filling for the macarons. I learnt that the process of taking out the original filling and adding the strawberry filling was not an easy task. I will tell you though. When speaking to Rhonda on the phone, she did not hesitate or object to custom make the macarons with the strawberry filling, which came out beautifully and delicious. When she delivered the cake on October 4th, she was friendly, calm and a pleasure to deal with. The cake came in a secured package and was promptly put into the fridge. When It was time to bring the cake out to my sister in law, it was in great shape. It looked exactly like what I needed it to be. The look of the cake was beautiful, bright, colorful and very detailed. The taste of the cake was amazing. Not too sweet, right amount of fruit filling, right amount of frosting, tasty and very fresh. The guests said it It was delicious and went back for seconds. Rhonda you are a cake artist with an amazing set of skills. Thank you for making my sister in laws day that much more special. I ordered a cake for first birthday party and it turned out beautiful and delicious. Everyone enjoyed it- it was delicious and not too sweet. The flavours were awesome. Rhonda is proactive and professional. She understood our needs, and customized it to perfection.
This is the third year in a row I’ve ordered my son’s birthday cake from Classic Cakes. His favourite is red velvet and Rhonda does a beautiful job each time. The cake is moist and delicious, always decorated beautifully, with great attention paid to the design and timely communication to discuss design options. Rhonda goes above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect and ready ahead of time. We had lots left over despite feeding everyone at the party, and the price is reasonable. She’s also lovely to interact with. Thanks for making my son’s birthday special each year, Rhonda!
I ordered last minute strawberry shortcake for my husband. She got it done in 2hours with fresh strawberries. My husband loved it. Everyone love it. The cake was tasty and looked beautiful. I will order again from her.
The owner RHONDA GOLD has very bad customer service. I ordered a cake from her, she said she can do it, I gave her the money and everthing. On the day it was supposed to be delivered, she emailed and said she will do it next morning as she had family emergency. I said okay, but please deliver it in the morning as it's the birthday morning. So, I emailed her in the morning asking for the pictures of the cake. She replied that she can't do it and she will refund me in 7 days. I don't know what to say, why would you even take the order or should let the customer know in advance, so that I can do something else. It was pathetic. After that email, she didn't picked up my call or didn't bother to email back. I called a day after, she picked and said what do you need, you will get back your money and hung up. Please don't buy from her. She didn't even bother to apologise. She was awful. I will never buy from her and suggest everyone to do the same because she will ruin the day for you.
Another bakery canceled our order in the last day so we found Classic Bakery in google, the Lady was very professional, On time and she made a delicious cake for us. Highly recommended Bakery in Scarborough. Thank you so much once again.
